Welcome to Stitchtember

Welcome to Stitchtember! A month-long embroidery project designed to inspire you to learn hand embroidery. Every day in September I will share with you a different hand embroidery stitch tutorial. We will start with some easy stitches and move on to more advanced stitches as the month progresses. The stitch tutorials consist of photos and videos and are available from my blog and my Instagram & Facebook pages.

You can practice your stitches on some fabric or join me and make your own fabric stitch book. The stitch book contains 30 fabric pages so you can use a page a day to practice your stitching. The tutorial to make your own stitch book will also be available on today’s blog post.

All the stitch tutorials are FREE to access from my blog and social media. So if you would like to join me this Stitchtember, you will need a handful of materials:

· Fabric – cotton or linen fabric works well. I used osnaburg fabric which is 100% seeded cotton, but you can use any spare fabric you already have.

· Stranded embroidery thread

· Needle

· Scissors

· Embroidery hoop

· Trims/ribbons/notions to decorate your stitch book.

If you have any questions, please get in touch by leaving a comment below or message via social media or my website. The first stitch tutorial will be available later today, so let’s get our needles threaded and ready for 30 days of stitching!
